Beth Brown Memorial Foundation: New Web Site
Wednesday, May 24, 2006

From Beth at the CBFC (visit the Weblog): "Since we started doing the Official Clancy Brown Fan Club and this web site in 1998, many of you have very kindly purchased autographed photos of Clancy, bought CBFC calendars & newsletters, and taken part in charity dinners, screenings, and auctions. The proceeds from these club activities have gone to various causes, such as the J. Madison Wright fund (to help pay for her full heart transplant), Kids With A Cause, the Iron Workers Union during the post 9/11 WTC clean-up effort, and the Beth Brown Memorial Foundation.

Some of you may have seen Clancy's very heartfelt message in our Guest Book during last year's online CarnyCon, thanking you for taking part in our auction and explaining a bit about the Beth Brown Memorial Foundation.

The BBMF has now opened a very informative website at: http://www.bethbrownfoundation.org/

If any of you would like to read more about this charity or perhaps donate directly, please visit the website. It gives a great deal of information about Beth Brown, the foundation created in her memory, it's goals, past recipients, and how to donate directly.

It's a very moving website and makes all of us at the CBFC very proud to be lending our support. Thank you for all the generous donations you have made as a fandom over the years. It's good to know that our fun fan activities can also help worthwhile causes this way."

TV Guide Cheers
Thursday, March 2, 2006

From TV Guide's Cheers and Jeers column:

Cheer of the Week to Lost for casting Clancy Brown in a Gulf War flashback as the U.S. military man who forced Sayid (Naveen Andrews) to torture his Iraqi commander. For fans of HBO's late Carnivale, it was good to see the devil incarnate Brother Justin as another menacing leader. It almost makes you hope Brown's character will turn up on the island,. Hey, stranger things have happened on Lost...

LOST episode 2.14 airs February 15!
Friday, February 3, 2006

Details below on Clancy's LOST episode, from SpoilerFix which cites ABC and Television Without Pity. Thanks to Kate for the heads up.

Consider this your SPOILER warning!

Episode 2.14: One Of Them
Airdate: February 15, 2006

01/30 - When Rousseau leads Sayid to a mysterious captive in the jungle, he becomes determined to find out if he is one of the “Others.” Meanwhile, Sawyer discovers Hurley’s potentially devastating breech of the survivors’ trust and blackmails him into helping track an elusive island creature that won’t leave Sawyer alone. Guest starring are Lindsey Ginter as Sgt. Austen, Mira Furlan as Danielle Rousseau, Michael Emerson as Henry Gale, Marc Casabani as Tariq, Theo Rossi as Sgt. Buccelli, Clancy Brown as Joe Inman, Thomas Meharey as U.S. soldier no. 1 and Kamari Borden as U.S. soldier no. 2. Source: ABC

Comments: This appears to be a Sayid episode, meaning the flashbacks belong to that character (his military background). Clancy's character, Joe Inman, is a C.I.A. agent.
