There
is no sign of The Caseys on UPN's
fall schedule, not even in the list of
midseason replacements. However, not all
of the midseason replacements have been
announced, and by the looks of the lineup
it seems they might just be needing a
lot! You can see it for yourself
at: UPN's
Fall Schedule |

UPN
announces it's fall lineup this Thursday,
May 20. As soon as I hear if The Caseys
has been picked up or not, I will post
here. Keep your fingers crossed!
A
blurb about The Caseys appeared in the
Hollywood
Reporter yesterday or the day before
saying:
"Clancy
Brown (Earth 2, The Adventures of Superman)
will play the lead in the pilot of the
UPN drama THE CASEYS. The series is
about a family adjusting to their father
(Brown) after he is paralyzed."
And
from Ultimate
TV:
"'The
Caseys,' from 20th Century Fox TV is
the first TV project from Michael Steinberg,
director of "The Waterdance" and a producer
of 'There's Something About Mary.' The
drama is about a wheelchair-bound, working-class
father in Rhode Island who's forced
to build a new life with his family.
UPN."
And
in honor of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace,
which comes out tomorrow in the US...

I
hope there aren't too many of you who
missed the Clancy online chat the other
night (March 30th). I only heard about
it a mere 4 hours before it began, thanks
to Char who spotted it on the TV Guide
page and notified the Earth2 mailing lists.
(Thanks Char!)
Unfortunatly,
the transcript of the chat, like others
at Yahoo Chat, take a *very* long time
to appear (if ever), and there is no
way to cut and paste from the chat screen.
So, let me give you a brief rundown
on some of the more important topics
covered...
-
Clancy will soon be filming a pre-pilot
pilot (small sections of a pilot)
for UPN titled The Caseys.
He plays Peter Casey, the family patriarch
who, after a construction accident,
becomes a parapelgic. The show deals
with the struggle the family goes
through after the accident.
-
He is doing voiceovers for two animated
series SpongeBob Squarepants,
where he plays SpongeBob's boss Mr.Crabs,
and The Big Guy and the Robot,
where he is one of the evil Legion.
-
In Claire Makes it Big he is
the boyfriend of Claire... who makes
it big. And in Chump Change
he is "the man", a slightly eccentric
acting coach.

Clancy
to attend an Earth 2 convention!
In
case you missed the image on the main
page, Clancy has agreed to be a guest
at the upcoming Earth 2 Fifth Anniversary
Reunion Party this July
17th, at the Radisson Valley
Center in Sherman
Oaks, California! Barring
other professional obligations, of course.

Feb 14 |
There
is an Earth 2 marathon on The Sci-Fi
Channel tommorrow, February 15, in the
U.S. which runs all day long.
Any
images or other files which load in
from www.earth2.org/~grendler/ are no
longer working. This includes the Highlander
screen captures, the Rosie movie file,
and images on the Articles page. I will
need to re-upload these to a more stable
storage area, and until then they will
not be availiable. I'll try to do this
as soon as possible!
The
movie Clancy is currently filming in
Toronto is called Lazarus and the
Hurricane.

January 25 |
I
added Flubber screen captures to the
Image Gallery,
and two interesting items in the 1998
area of Articles
& Interviews. One is a 18 second
clip from the Rosie O'Donnell Show where
the cast of ER tries to explain who
Clancy is to her! The other is
CB's Pacific Bell telephone company
commercial movie sound file. The Rosie
clip should take about 5 minutes to
download depending on your connection.
The one-minute PacBell clip is longer,
about 25 minutes. I'm sorry about the
long download, but I can't figure out
how to make the sound file smaller.

Clancy
has recently finished filming his role
in a small independent film called Chump
Change, which has been filming in
Los Angeles and Wisconsin. Other cast
members include Fred Willard, Traci Lords,
Tim Matheson, Anne Meara and her husband
Jerry Stiller (of "Seinfeld").
Clancy
has also completed work on yet another
independent film titled Claire Makes
It Big. This is a short film directed
by Jeremy Workman (He did a movie titled
"Who is Henry Jaglom?").
Clancy
is also about to start filming Hurricane
Carter or Lazarus and the Hurricane.
I'm not sure of the exact title,
or CB's role in the movie. This film
stars Academy Award winner Denzel Washington
and is directed by Norman Jewison. The
story follows an ex-boxer (played by
Denzel Washington) who was wrongly jailed
for murder. Greg Kinnear ("Sabrina")
is also supposedly playing a Canadian
who helps free Carter.

Today,
Clancy celebrates his 40th birthday! The
CBWS would like to wish him a very, very
happy birthday! You can read birthday
messages others sent in here.

January 3 |
Happy
New Year everyone!
The
third issue of the Clancy Brown Fan
Club newsletter is in the mail! The
January issue focuses on Clancy's birthday,
containing well-wishes from fans around
the world. Also included are excerpts
from a personal interview conducted
by Fan Club creator and editor Beth
Blighton, in which Clancy talks about
the character Danziger and the direction
"Earth 2" would have taken if the series
had continued. (He has some *very* interesting
things to say about the Devon/Danziger
relationship... Are you D/Ders listening??)
There is also a character essay about
Danziger written by Susan Bowden of
the UK, and a "Bad Boys" review by Gry
W. Neilsen of Denmark.
Subscription
information to the fan club newsletter
can be found on the CBFC
page.

November 27 |
I
hope all of you in the U.S. had a happy
Thanksgiving!
I
used some of my vacation time to continue
to work on the site. I added a
bunch of articles to the Articles
and Interviews page, and also scanned
in more images for the Image
Gallery. I also made a sign
to help you locate the new items.

I'm
sorry I haven't updated this in a while,
but there hasn't been much info around,
until now.
The
Agency and Vendetta still
do not have exact air dates; however,
there is a "positive buzz" surrounding
both of them. In Vendetta,
Clancy plays Officer David Henessey,
Chief of Police in 1890s New Orleans.
HBO is showing previews for this, and
it seems like it may air in February
during Sweeps. In Showtime's The
Agency, Clancy plays Dale Beckham
who goes undercover to rescue a friend
from North Korea. Three other actors
who Clancy has worked with before, Tom
Berenger ("Shoot to Kill"), Ron Silver
("Blue Steel") & Alice Krige ("Donor
Unknown"), are also in the cast.

September 27 |
There's
a new cartoon series being aired which
Clancy is doing voiceovers for. It's called
Voltron: The Third Dimension and
airs on the WB Network. I believe on Sundays,
but check your local listings. |
|
September 14 |
I've
recieved word that HBO might be showing
promos for Vendetta. Not sure yet
what these previews show or what this
movie is about, but I'll keep you posted.
(Thanks Kathy!) |
|
August 20 |
Clancy
will be in an upcoming Showtime movie
tentitivly titled The Agency.
It will air on Showtime sometime at the
end of 1998 or early 1999.
He
will also be in an HBO movie titled
Vendetta, playing Officer Hennesey.
He
is also lending his voice to the Nickelodeon
series Sponge Bob.
